Lens Function
・Visible Light Transmittance Category: S1-S3
・MIT lens: A one-piece molded lens with a film-like mirror layer sandwiched between the lenses using Yamamoto Optical's unique "MirrorInsertTechnology (MIT)". Because the mirror is enclosed inside the lens, the mirror will not peel off even if a tree branch hits the lens during tree runs. Also, because the thickness of the mirror layer is uniform throughout the lens, color unevenness in the field of view is less likely to occur.
・PHOTOCHROMIC
・PREMIUM ANTI-FOG: Anti-fog technology with twice the water absorption capacity of our conventional products. The coating applied to the inner surface of the lens absorbs moisture that accumulates inside the goggles like a sponge, suppressing fogging. The anti-fog effect is regenerated each time the absorbed moisture dries, so it exhibits a high anti-fog effect even after repeated use.
・CLARITEX(TM) COAT: A special surface coating unique to Yamamoto Optical, with features such as "water repellency" and "stain resistance". Snow and water droplets are less likely to adhere to the lens, and even if they do, a water film does not spread on the lens surface, so no distortion of vision occurs. Also, fingerprints and water stains are less likely to stick, and even if they do, they can be easily removed.
・Double Lens: An insulating structure that creates an air layer between two lenses effectively suppresses fogging.
・Molded Flat Lens: The close distance between the lens and the eye ensures a wide field of view.
・UV Cut Lens: All SWANS snow goggles cut 99.9% or more of ultraviolet rays. Because UV absorbers are incorporated into the lens during manufacturing, the performance will not change due to scratches on the lens surface or aging under normal use. It provides solid protection for your eyes from strong UV rays in snowy mountains and can be used safely for a long period of time.
Frame Features
・A-BLOW SYSTEM: The lens pops up when the trigger parts on both sides are raised. This expels moisture from inside the goggles and prevents lens fogging. It can be easily operated even while wearing gloves.
・Japan Fit Foam: Designed for Japanese people, soft foam is used in the parts that touch the face. The frame also has a double frame structure that combines a flexible fit with high frame strength.
・CLARITEX MESH: A special mesh material specializing in "water repellency". Snow does not easily accumulate and maintains efficient ventilation that prevents moisture from entering the inside.
・Helmet Compatible: Goggles designed to be compatible with SWANS helmets.
・Eyeglasses Compatible: Frame design that can be used with eyeglasses. *Depending on the size and design of the eyeglasses, it may not be possible to use them.
